In 2022, Intelligent Protection delivered Close Protection Bodyguard services and Secure Ground Transportation for an engineering team from a Norwegian hydropower company working on a project in Nepal. With over 90% of Nepal's electricity generated from hydropower plants, these facilities are considered crucial to the country's economy, necessitating heightened security measures for the team's safety.
The team's work was quite rural and involved a fair amount of logistics for the secure movement of equipment and engineers, travelling in and out of the mountainous regions.
Although the threat level in Nepal is generally low, the company felt a strong duty of care to ensure the safety of its staff while they were working in remote locations.
Our team was composed of highly experienced Bodyguards and Drivers, as well as Team Medics who were prepared to handle any medical emergencies and coordinate evacuations if necessary.

In 2022, Intelligent Protection delivered Travel Risk and Bodyguard Services to a client from the US who was attending business meetings in Kathmandu.
Our client was staying in Nepal for two weeks and was utilising the weekends to visit temples and other historic sites around Kathmandu. Seven UNESCO World Heritage sites are located inside Kathmandu Valley, and all are very accessible.
The service that we provided was very low-key, which gave our client comfort and reassurance that if we needed to step up and increase our presence, this could be done easily.

All of our operatives are qualified to a minimum of First Person on Scene (International) (FPOSi) or First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC3), British qualifications. They would also have received training during their Military or Police Service, many to a very high level.
All of our operatives carry first aid or trauma packs as standard, with larger packs in our operational vehicles.
English is not widely spoken in Nepal, the main language spoken in Nepal is Nepali. If you require specific languages to be spoken, please inform us. All of our operatives in Nepal speak English as standard, with many being multilingual.
